Is upon my life,

For I look forward to
The coming years
On how my life will be
Spent with him…

To be his loving mother,
His kind sister.
And his bestfriend!

Weary and homesick and distressed,
They wander east, they wander west
And are baffled and beaten and blown about
By the winds of wilderness of doubt;
To stay at home is best

The bird is safest in its nest;
O’er all that flutter their wings and fly
A hawk is hovering in the sky;

When the funds are low,
And debts are high,
And you want to smile
But you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you
Down a bit—
Rest if you must,
But don’t you quit.

Life is queer
With its twist and turns
As everyone of us
Sometimes learns;

And many a persons turns about
When they might have won
Had they stuck it out.
Don’t give up—

Though the peace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Speak gently, kindly, to the poor,
Let no harsh tones be heard:

They have enough they must endure,
Without an unkind word.

They may have toiled in vain;
Perchance unkindness made then so:

To bend man’s stubborn will,
When elements were in fierce strife,
Said to them, “Peace, be still!”

I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quite need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turned from Praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old grief’s, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, – I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life! – And if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

So if your thoughts are happy
And a smile is in your face,
You’ll find the world is beautiful,
A warm and happy lace…

So always keep your spirits up
And hope for what is best,
Look for the good in everyone
And see what’s happiest…

For when there’s sunshine in your heart
And faith in you’ll do,
That world can’t help returning
That sunny joy to you.

Faith is believing
That after the rain
Birds will be singing
In sunshine again.

Faith let us know
That the darkness of night
Is followed each morning
By dawn’s glowing light.

So if you should feel
That you’re troubled by strife
Remember that faith
Is the best way of life.

Often the struggle has given up
When he might have captured
The victor’s cup;
And he learned to late

When the night came down,
How close he was
To the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out—

The silver tints of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell
How close you are
It may be near when it seems afar.

So stick to the fight
When you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things are really worst
That you must not quit!

But even if one knew
The answer
What would one
Possibly gain/
Would the knowledge of
Where love has gone through,
Ease the heartaches, the sorrow,
And the pain?

Why is it one cannot
Quite realize
What a blessing this
True love can be.
Must one lost love
To know the priceless?
Must one be blind before
One can see?

Ah! Where does love go
When it leaves us?
This question will
Always remain,
For we will never know
The answer…
Until we find love
Once again!

The powerful sun may cease to sparkle,
And all the stars on high
May cease to beam, may cease to twinkle,
Yet love can never die.

Love dwells in ev’ry soul forsaken,
The essence of our God on high,
The weary hearts by it are lightened-
O! Love can never die.

Forget about mistakes
That you can’t change now,
But don’t forget
the LESSONS you’ve LEARNED…

Forget about misfortunes
You’ve encountered,
But don’t forget
the times your LUCK has turned…

Forget about the days
when you’ve been lonely,
but don’t forget
the friendly SMILES you’ve seen…

forget about the PLANS
that didn’t seem
to work out right,
but don’t forget to
ALWAYS HAVE A DREAM!
