Carol Claire Aguilar Banawa was born in Pasay City, Philippines on March 4, 1981. Her parents are Albino and Cirila Banawa. She has two siblings Alexander and Cherry. She was raised and grew up in Batangas.

During late 1980’s, Carol joined the junior beauty pageant when she was eight years old. That was the start of stardom. She was invited to join ABS CBN through the children oriented show “Ang TV”, where she became famous and created a name in the music industry.
